HeritageRail Alliance is an association born from two venerable associations with a combined history of nearly 100 years. After several years analysing their many similarities and goals, the Tourist Railway Association and the Association of Railway Museums merged to form a brand new organization, The Association of Tourist Railroads and Railway Museums (ATRRM) in 2013. In 2016 ATRRM rebranded itself and changed its name to HeritageRail Alliance
HeritageRail is dedicated to (1) providing a flow of information that will support and strengthen its members, (2) advocating for good regulation and legislation that ensures safety and the future of railway preservation, and (3) offering a variety of opportunities for members to share information and expertise. Whether reading our onine magazine, participating in our Facebook forums, attending the conferences, visiting the website for updated information on legislation and regulation, participating in the Parts Forum, or forwarding the monthly e-blast on to volunteers and staff, HeritageRail is the gathering spot for members.
